SPORTS - Rugby (six Nations)


On Saturday 19th March the six nations was ended with Ireland beating England which crushed England’s chance of winning the grand slam.  This was a landslide win for Ireland beating the champions 24-8.

Although England won the Triple Crown, they did not win the Grand slam but finished top of the group .Italy finished last but one of their great players won an award.

Andrea Masi Italy’s strong back has officially been awarded the RBS player of the championship for the 2011 six nations tournament.

Over 17,000 votes were cast by the public to insure the RBS player of the championship award was given to an Italian for the first time.

On winning the award, Masi stated;
“It has been a championship of highs and lows for the Italian team, our win against France will go down in rugby history, but to finish 6th frustrated us all”



Olympic Games coming to London 2012, everyone is getting excited and ready as the tickets have been on sale from the 15th March 2011.

The Official website for the Olympics has warned supporters to avoid a series of bogus ticket selling websites as they have been set up to scam fans.

There are 10.8 million tickets available; 8.8 million are available for the Olympics and 2 million for the Paralympics.

There are just 491 days to go and just over 500 days to go until the Paralympics
